He is not the True Master, who goes on extracting donations from the disciples and putting them off (in the matter of divine knowledge);
Who keeps on deluding the disciples in order to extract choicest offerings from them.
A disciple too is not a true disciple, if he thinks that rituals would please the True Master;
And that this soul would attain salvation as a reward of his visits to the places of pilgrimage, fasts and other religious practices.
All that is required of a disciple is to surrender himself completely unto the True Master;
Avtar says, then it is the True Master's job to fill the empty bowl.

Meaning
Here we can understand that only a True Master can fill the empty bowl. A master who goes on getting offering from the disciples and keeps on faking can't be a True Master; One who keeps on misleading the disciples to get the offering of choice can't be a True Master; One is not the True disciple who thinks that his/her acts will please the True Master And that the soul would attain salvation as a reward of his/her visits to the places of Pilgrimage, keeping fasts and following religious practices. All that is required of a disciple is to surrender oneself completely unto a True Master.
